The Cow is Autonomous

$700.00

A meditation on the phrase "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free." A female figure slumped forward enhancing the image of pendulous breasts and fleshy rolls of stomach, giving the illusion of udders, giving the impression of someone slumped over from weight pressing down on them, a reference to the weight of responsibility we place on women from a young age to equate their body with property and worth.

The Cow is Autonomous. Acrylic on 24"x20" canvas with a 2" depth. 2022.
